The History or Battlefield Acupuncture

The term "Battlefield Acupuncture" is what Colonel Niemtzow named his new auricular therapy. This new system of almost instant pain relief was an efficient way of getting injured soldiers off the battlefield while reducing their pain at the same time.

5 Needle in each ear

Up to 5 ASP needles are inserted into one or both ears

After each needle is inserted the client is asked to walk around the room while at the same time moving the affected part of the body

asp needles

ASP needles are the usual type of needle used for this therapy. Each ASP needle comes in its own applicator. The needle is semi permanent and typically drops out after a few days

Pain is often reduced or eliminated during the session

Range of movement

Range of movement is often increased

Pain moves

During the session most clients report that the pain often moves. Very often to a place on the body where it no longer hurts.
